Phytophagous insects and their predators in woody plant taxa in urban landscapes in Burdur City center

Field studies were carried out during the April-November period of 2018-2019 in order to determine phytophagous and predatory insect species living on ornamental trees shrubs Burdur city center parks. 15 parks located chosen as study area. The visited three-four times throughout year specimens insects host plants collected brought laboratory for preparation diagnosis. A total 34 plant taxa examined study. As a result, totally 55 identified from three orders 19 families [Pseudococcidae 1, Diaspididae 4, Marchalinidae Tingidae 3, Psyllidae 2, Cicadellidae Miridae 7, Lygaeidae 6, Coreidae Rhapolidae Pentatomidae Cixidae 1 (Hemiptera), Apionidae Chrysomelidae Curculionidae 8, Malachiidae Elateridae (Coleoptera), Tortricidae Notodontidae (Lepidoptera)]. Among them, most common abundant was Marchalina hellenica (Gennadius, 1883) family. We report Anthocomus equestris (Fabricius, 1781) family new record Turkey. Totally 18 predator seven [Nabidae Anthocoridae Coccinellidae 10, Cantharidae Srypidae Forficulidae 1]. 83 interactions between plants, 26 among insects, species.
